The Boston Bruins look for another victory after winning five of their last eight games. The Boston Bruins are averaging 3.3 goals per game and are scoring on 23 percent of their power play opportunities. Brad Marchand leads Boston with 34 goals, David Pastrnak has 44 assists and Patrice Bergeron has 203 shots on goal. Defensively, the Boston Bruins are allowing 2.5 goals per game and are killing 82.7 percent of their opponents power plays. Tuukka Rask has given up 113 goals on 1,385 shots faced and Anton Khudobin has allowed 70 goals on 824 shots. The Boston Bruins have allowed two or less goals in five of their last six games

The Philadelphia Flyers look for a statement victory after splitting their last 10 games. The Philadelphia Flyers are averaging three goals per game and are scoring on 20 percent of their power play opportunities. Sean Couturier leads Philadelphia with 31 goals, Jakub Voracek has 66 assists and Claude Giroux has 181 shots on goal. Defensively, the Philadelphia Flyers are allowing 2.9 goals per game and are killing 75.8 percent of their opponents power plays. Brian Elliott has given up 109 goals on 1,189 shots faced and Michal Neuvirth has allowed 45 goals on 530 shots. The Philadelphia Flyers have allowed three or less goals in eight of their last 11 games.

The Bruins are 21-10 in their last 31 road games, 2-6 in their last 8 Sunday games and 43-17 in their last 60 overall. The Flyers are 5-2 in their last 7 Sunday games, 1-4 in their last 5 games following a win and 3-8 in their last 11 vs. Eastern Conference. The Bruins are 11-4 in the last 15 meetings in Philadelphia, 21-6 in the last 27 meetings and the home team is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings.

The Boston Bruins have been money on the road all season long and have owned the Flyers as far as you can go back, but they’re on the end of a back to back, and this is an extremely early game. I usually like to side with the home team with start times this soon, as it’s a lot easier to get out of your own bed and what not for games like this. It also feels like a statement game for the Flyers, as they’ve been hit or miss down the stretch and need a confidence boosting win heading into the playoffs. Give me the Flyers on their home ice.
