NHL Central Division

Formation and Teams: The Central Division was formed in 1993 as part of the Western Conference during a league realignment. It replaced the Norris Division and is one of the successors to the Northwest Division. The Chicago Blackhawks have been a member of the Central Division since its inception. Other original members include the Arizona Coyotes (formerly the Winnipeg Jets), Dallas Stars, and St. Louis Blues. The division also includes the Minnesota Wild, Nashville Predators, Winnipeg Jets (formerly the Atlanta Thrashers), and the Columbus Blue Jackets (who moved to the Metropolitan Division in 2013).
